REED EXHIBITIONS LIMITED INFOSECURITY ADVISER COMMUNITY TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Who Are We?

Infosecurity Adviser (referred to in these terms and conditions as the "Community") is operated by Reed Exhibitions Ltd. Our principal place of business is at Gateway House, 28 The Quadrant, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1DN, UK. Reed Exhibitions Limited in these terms and conditions is called "we" or "us".

We are the organiser of the Infosecurity Europe exhibition held on 22 April to 24 April 2008 at Olympia, London. The Community, run in association with the Infosecurity Europe exhibition will be active from 31st March 2008 onwards.

2. Complaints

Moderation of the community will be community based.

Upon notification of a complaint regarding content that is believed to breach any of the rules set out at section 3 below, we will remove the content in question from the site before reviewing the complaint in full.

3. House Rules As To Content

  • The following content is unacceptable and we reserve the right to reject and/or remove it from the Community. Violation of any of these rules could also lead to the immediate suspension of your account and could lead to legal action being taken against you by the authorities or an aggrieved party. Please be aware that in exceptional circumstances Reed Exhibitions Limited could be legally obliged to reveal your registration information and/or IP address to external authorities:
  • Posts containing swear words or other language likely to offend
  • Posts written in languages other that English
  • Comments that are considered likely to provoke, attack or offend others including comments that are racially offensive, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or defamatory
  • Comments which break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity. This includes breaches of copyright (i.e. the posting of content, including audio and/or video files where you do not own the copyright in that material), defamatory comments or comments which constitute a contempt of court (e.g. any posts which risk prejudicing on-going or forthcoming court proceedings)
  • Posts which contain personal information. It is not acceptable to post your or anyone else’s contact details including their address, telephone number, email address etc. This is for your own safety and that of everyone else who uses the Community
  • Posts which are seen to impersonate someone else (including other users of the Community)
  • Posts which advertise products or services for profit including posting of web links (URLs)
  • Multiple posts containing the same or very similar content (i.e. spam)
  • Posts that are unrelated to the topic of the discussion. We want to keep our Community as relevant as possible. For this reason, messages not relevant to the discussion may be rejected. We may also occasionally close comments on a discussion if we think that the discussion has become irrelevant

4. Copyright and other legal rights

  • By submitting a contribution to this Community you also warrant that such a contribution is:
  • your own original work;
  • not defamatory; and
  • does not contain anything which is otherwise unlawful.
  • You also agree to indemnify Reed Exhibitions Limited against all losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including all legal fees and/or damages) that may be suffered or incurred by Reed Exhibitions Limited as a result of any breach of the above warranty.
  • In posting a contribution on the Community you agree to grant Reed Exhibitions Limited a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicenseable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, play and exercise all rights relating to the same worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content, consistent with privacy restrictions set forth in Reed Exhibitions Limited's Privacy Policy.
  • You also agree to waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the Community and the other purposes specified above.
  • If you do not wish to grant such rights to Reed Exhibitions Limited it is suggested that you do not submit your contribution to this Community.

5. How will we use your personal details?

We will use your personal details to operate the Community. Where we or other companies in our corporate group want to use your personal details for other purposes (such as marketing) we will offer you the opportunity to agree or to refuse this. Your personal details will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy from time to time and in accordance with the law as it relates to people’s personal details. 6. The legal position of these terms and conditions

These terms and conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and us. We reserve the right to change them and update them from time to time but if we do so we will post the changes on this website. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
